This year, our team engaged in over 12,000 messages, ensuring each guest interaction was personalised and attentive. Our guests dedicated over 5,000 hours engaging with our platforms, exploring everything our properties have to offer. We pride ourselves on our responsiveness, with the majority of our communications being replied to within 30 minutes, showcasing our commitment to excellence in guest service.
Language barriers were no obstacle for us as we communicated in over 13 languages, from English to Chinese, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Italian, ensuring a welcoming experience for every guest, regardless of their origin.
A testament to our service quality, we've successfully handled over 2,000 reservations this year. More impressively, over 50% of our guests have left us feedback, contributing to our outstanding 4.8 rating on Airbnb's Average Score. Several of our properties have been recognised as 'Guest Favourites' on Airbnb, a badge of honor that speaks volumes about our consistency and dedication. This recognition is particularly significant for us, symbolising the culmination of efforts in maintaining high standards over our 6-year history.

AirFreedom’s growth has been remarkable. Now managing over 30 properties across three vibrant cities - Newport, Cardiff, and Bristol - we’re excited to announce further expansion plans in Bristol for 2024, building on two successful years in a central property there.
Our journey, highlighted in another blog post - Our Founders: The Story Behind AirFreedom’s Passion for Hospitality, reveals our evolution from managing a single property to overseeing a diverse range of accommodations. We’ve developed 11 distinct, successful hospitality brands, each reflecting our commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Today, our portfolio, valued at over £5 million, hosts around 200 reservations each month.
In 2023, AirFreedom significantly increased its online visibility, thanks to a healthy marketing budget allocated to Google Ads, a redesigned website and continuous content development. This strategic investment resulted in attracting approximately 2,000 organic traffic visitors to our website each month, showcasing our growing presence in the digital realm and enhancing our ability to connect with a wider audience. This uptick in online traffic is a clear indicator of our expanding reach and the effectiveness of our targeted marketing efforts.
Our Google Ad campaigns have truly come to fruition, achieving over half a million impressions and more than 5,000 clicks, with an impressive click-through rate of 1.1%. This success underscores our growing presence in online searches for holiday accommodations, one-bedroom apartments, and lodging options in the area. These results reflect our commitment to connecting travelers with the perfect holiday stay, and we’re thrilled to see such positive engagement from our audience.
In Newport, we’ve achieved a significant milestone, underscoring our market strength. Over 55.7% of our bookings were direct or through our website, reflecting our effective marketing strategies and guest loyalty. This success is particularly noteworthy in the current market climate, demonstrating our ability to adapt and excel amidst industry challenges.
The synergy between our dedicated team members, including Dino, our right-hand man in operational success, and our collaboration with three fantastic cleaning companies, has been pivotal. The contribution of Alina’s interior design expertise and Pedro’s proficiency in hospitality software has enabled us to maintain our high standards and guest-centric approach.
We manage 49 uniquely designed rooms and a diligent team of 26 cleaning staff. Our revenue management strategies in Barcelona, technical support across Europe, and local maintenance team underscore our global standard with a local touch.
This expansion is not just about numbers; it’s about the experiences we create, the relationships we foster, and the community we build around shared values of quality and care. As we move forward, we are committed to redefining hospitality with every stay, making AirFreedom an experience to cherish.
